Once you hire the RedBorder Live service, what you should do is connect the client's infrastructure to the cloud (where the manager would also be hosted). In this way, your IPS data and traffic data will be sent to Live. However, first the data obtained before they are sent to the cloud will be passed to the proxy client. Then, the function of a proxy client is explained and the reason why it is used.
The main reason why a proxy client is used and is necessary in Live before sending the data to the cloud, is so that the data is not sent flat, that is, for security reasons and to centralize all the capture of data of your infrastructure.
To see how to install a proxy client and register it to send data to live, see the following client proxy guide where the process is explained step by step.
This affects both Live and Visualizer, what happens is that in live we can connect both an IPS redborder sensor, a Traffic sensor, and in visualizer we could only see the traffic of the network that we have obtained from the client's infrastructure.
