What's in this Guide?

In this article you will find a quick guide on how to add a Vault sensor in a proxy. This process will be done in a redBorder manager.

Adding Vault Sensor

To add a vault sensor must click on the Edit button -> Add sensor -> Vault: 

A pop-up window then appears which ask you for a name and the IP address from which the syslog event data is being received: 

By going to the upper VAULT tab, you can verify that the data that was initially receiving the Client Proxy is now classified with the name you assigned to the sensor (in this case "Prueba"). For visualize this, it´s necessary that you go to the Sensor section.

If this tab does not appear, just go to Add Tab -> Network -> Sensor, and click on it. After this you will be able to visualize it.

Additional Information

In the case that no information appears in the graph:

1. Verify that the client proxy has been installed correctly.
2. Check that syslog event data arrives at the machine.
3. If there is a problem with the client's configuration.
4. If vault data arrives at the machine but nothing is seen in the web dashboard, contact with support@redborder.com
